Image Support
SWISSLOG allows You to add Images to Calls and QSOs.
To Add Images open the Image-Loader
Select Tools ¦ Image-Loader from main menu.
To see Images
Select VIEW ¦ Images of Call from main menu.
You can store the images in the database or only a link to the file containing the image.
Storing the image needs more DB-Space but the portability is better because everything is contained in one file, the DB.
Storing a Link needs less space but the links can become invalid when You delete or move linked files.
Images can be added to QSOs or to Calls. Images added to Calls are not associated with a QSO
To Add Images Select Tools ¦ Image-Loader from main menu. This opens the Image-Loader which looks like this:
Selected Image shows the Image which will be added and Selected Call / QSO shows the Call and all QSOs with the selected Call to which the image can be added.
To add an Image proceed as follows:
- Select the image to be added. Press the
button an select the Image in the open dialog
- You can display the currently selected image by pressing on the
button
- Select the Call to which the image should be added. You can select a call by
- Selecting a QSO in any of the QSO-Views
- Activate the QSO-Entry window to select the current Call
- Enter the Call into the Call Field and press return
- If You want to add the image to a specific QSO, select the QSO in the QSO-list
- Select if You want to Store or Link the image .
- Enter a description into the Description field (optional)
- Press the Add to Call button to add the image to the Call without an association with a QSO
- Press the Add to QSO button to add the image to the selected QSO
Note: You can only add images to Calls or QSOs when they exists. If You want to add a image to a new QSO You have to save it first.
To display a list of images which exists for a call open the Images of Call Window (from the View menu) or Press the Show stored Images of the Image-Loader. The Images of Call looks like this:
For Images which are associated with a QSO the QSO information are displayed.
- To delete to the selected image press the Delete button
- To edit the description of the image press the Edit button
