The double QSO check is controlled by
There are different reasons to make a duplicate QSO check. Depending this reason, the settings of the Option and the Start / End time can be different. I list some examples hereafter.
This is the most obvious usage of these function.
In a Contest only the QSOs made within the period of the contest count as double. But your logbook probably contains all your QSOs. Therefore we have to check if a QSO is a double within the period of the contest. That means you have to specify this period somewhere. The place you do this is the Event Entry.
If you are a serious contester you will probably define a separate My-QTH entry for each contest. If you only want to distribute some points, you can just add the date range of the contest period to your standard My-QTH Entry. After the Contest you probably clear the dates again
To enable double QSO Check for a Contest proceed as follows:
If you want a general check for duplicate QSOs it is very similar to the procedure explained for duplicate check for Contests. You should either set the Start / End date to a date range which includes all your QSOs or not enter a date range at all. If there is not date defined, Swisslog sets a date range fro 01.01.1901 to 12.31.2999.
But remember a duplicate check always includes the Band. So if you work a station for the first time on a Band it is not a duplicate QSO even if You have worked the same station on an other band.
If you want to know if you work a station for the very first time, you should use the option color of Call if first QSO with Station which can be set in the QSO-Entry option dialog
